Behind Nisha Halo - The Handmade Jeweller Company in Cumbria
I often get asked what’s behind our handmade jewellery company name "Nisha Halo" ? Obviously Nisha is my first name, and I definitely don't have a halo, (maybe horns at times).
So, ''Nisha' means ‘night’ in Sanskrit, and 'Halo' is synonymous with ‘a circle of white or coloured light around the sun, moon, or other luminous body...."
'Nisha Halo’ fits my jewellery brand perfectly, as I personally believe to truly appreciate light in life; one needs to understand darkness, and my brand has been born out of experiencing both of those extremes.
I find a lot of inspiration for my jewellery in human emotion including: love, loss, reinvention, growth, celebration and remembrance, as well as in the beauty of life in all its forms.
I want the jewellery I design to evoke emotion in its owner because it is truly made with sentiment.
More often than not, my customers attach their own personal meaning to Nisha Halo jewellery, or have this incorporated into a bespoke jewellery design... born out of their own, or a loved one's light and and dark experiences .
