Handmade Jewellery Event at Shed One Ulverston
Last Sunday we held our first handmade jewellery workshop at Shed One Distillery in Ulverston. This sustainably-minded, independent distillery has a well-stocked bar, a plush jewel-coloured seating area and bespoke long wooden bench for gin tasting (and of course crafting), and all-in-all is a stunning creative space.
At Shed One, not only can you partake in tasting events, distillery tours and the opportunity to craft your own gin, you can also enjoy afternoon teas, themed food and entertainment events, and a range of creative workshops.
Shed One was launched in 2016 by husband and wife team, Andy & Zoe Arnold-Bennett and has gone from strength-to-strength winning multiple awards not only for their gin but for their sustainable approach to their craft and more. They have added to their range of distilled craft gins - liqueurs, marmalade, candles and gift sets - available online and from the distillery itself .
At the jewellery workshop, an enthusiastic group of seven created their own silver pendant and earrings designs out of 100% recycled sterling silver and copper using traditional jewellery-making techniques. We all got to enjoy Zoe’s delectable scones, homemade jams, sweet treats and gin, as well as hot beverages served in gorgeous vintage crockery.
Like everything else at Shed One, the beauty is in the detail and we can’t wait to return soon.
Visit Shed One’s website for details of their events and their online shop.
