Handmade Sustainable Silver and Gold Jewellery by Ulverston Jeweller Nisha Halo
Ensuring Nisha Halo jewellery is sustainably made is important. The damage done to the natural environment and wildlife hurts us hard. I do not take it for granted that I operate Nisha Halo Jewellery in an area of such outstanding beauty. This is why your Nisha Halo jewellery is handmade from carefully sourced raw materials, in a low impact manner, using product packaging made from recycled materials.
I believe all businesses have a responsibility to do as much as they can not to add to environmental damage and waste. I will always look for additional ways to ensure Nisha Halo is as green as possible. Here is my pledge to you:
Your Nisha Halo jewellery piece is made from precious metals sourced from Cookson Gold, who fulfil the highest ethical requirements. More than half their metals are recycled and the rest are mined in the European Union and the quality of the raw materials from Cookson Gold is exceptional.
Recycled metals such as antique Swiss watch pieces are used in your Nisha Halo cufflinks and some rhodium rings. This also adds character and interest to your jewellery.
In the course of making your pieces, I use recycled materials wherever possible including paper, packaging, plastics, glass, metals and cloth and I limit any waste in the work.
Your Nisha Halo jewellery is delivered in stylish recycled and eco-friendly jewellery boxes.
Your jewellery is handmade using natural, environmentally-friendly options for oxidising silver, cleaning metals and polishing, instead of any of the harsh chemicals and acids commonly used in these processes.
Your jewellery is made in a private studio made from recycled furniture, benches and lighting, using many recycled tools.
