I have recently been designing new gemstone jewellery pieces in sustainable sterling silver. It starts with a few simple sketches but I never really know how it is going to end, or how the gemstone will look in the finished design.

There are usually several drafts in design, as the aim is to show the gemstones off in their best light - and the sterling silver pendant bezels should compliment rather than take over the jewellery design.

It is quite different when producing a bespoke jewellery design for a customer, where the aim is to be quite specific in creating something that fits the customer’s specifications.

These new gemstone pendants are crafted in 100% recycled sustainable sterling silver and have some weight - these are definitely statement jewellery pieces - and I love the hues of the gemstones - perfect for the Spring and Summer seasons.
